Every person is unique and therefore needs a tailored approach in therapy. I pull from practical methods (CBT, DBT, & Solution-Focused Therapy), deeper, analytic models, and mindfulness/self-soothing/coping approaches. Together we find the right mix.

My approach to therapy is more collaborative/directive as I believe that many people lack having someone in their life who is able to gently confront you in your maladaptive coping mechanisms/patterns. I also use humor as laughter can be curative.
