The more accepting you are of difficult emotions or thoughts as just elements of your experiences, the less likely they are to control your behavior. Looking at thoughts and feelings more objectively open the door that allows us to commit to change.

My theoretical approach is interpersonal psychotherapy. I am also a practiced and trained EMDR therapist. I believe that our relationships, past and present, paint the picture of our lives and that therapy should help paint a beautiful scene.
