Learn about the brain, human behavior, your specific behaviors, your relationships, your self-care, and your strengths! We need to learn about the good to work with the "bad". Understanding your mind can help you work with it more reliably.

I draw upon my experience and education as a therapist and my study of Buddhist philosophy and Ayurveda; including 6 years living in a Buddhist gompa. I strive to inform, empower, and build self-acceptance that leads to positive growth.
We will work together on identifying and changing self-defeating patterns, developing healthier ways to manage emotions and challenging situations, resolving past traumas and inner conflicts, and uncovering the underlying meanings of your behaviors.

Our childhood experiences shape the way we view and experience ourselves, others, and the world. When we understand why we think, feel, and behave the way we do, we can begin to accept our past and enjoy our present.
I provide a comfortable, safe & adaptive environment for you to begin exploring yourself in new ways, while also learning skills to better manage & improve some of life's difficulties. ~ I am the therapist who will always challenge you to grow.

I have a trauma-focused practice & the majority of my clients suffer from PTSD. ~ However, I am also dedicated to serving clients with a range of daily stressors such as Anxiety, Depression, Low Self-Esteem, and even Couples or Family therapy.
Together we will find ways to create a space of healing that feels right for you. I tend to meet each client where they are at, creating a non-judgmental space. Typical things we may work on include transitions, anxiety, depression, acceptance, etc.

I typically take a person-centered approach to therapy. Focusing on the needs of each individual, while using a holistic approach. This means looking at all aspects of one's life that may be impacting their overall wellbeing.
I like to look at the whole person when considering a treatment plan. Our sessions can vary from discussing childhood memories, relationship patterns, life transitions, coping techniques, children, pets, and practical problem solving strategies.

I prefer the one-on-one relationship that working in individual psychotherapy provides. My philosophy is that the bond that I build with you is the most important aspect of your journey.
