I use humor when appropriate and don't assign random "homework" just because in therapy - I do however recommend activities, books, and podcasts for use in between sessions when appropriate and specific to a client's goals.

I treat anxiety and trauma with mind-body modalities such as EMDR and somatic based approaches, while also incorporating DBT OR CBT to practice replacing unhealthy thoughts with constructive alternatives.
