Clients have told me they understand their trauma more in one session together than they have previously in months of talk therapy. I have also been told that I “get” complicated dynamics such as abuse, narcissism and high conflict divorce.
I of course want to identify goals to work towards to get you relief as quick as possible, however together we can go back as far as childhood to understand how patterns started and what shifts in thinking needs to occur to disrupt them.

My approach is not ever to be the expert in the room. Although I have the skillset and possible solutions to help, I first want to understand your unique experience and situations that have shaped who you are.
I like to look at the whole person when considering a treatment plan. Our sessions can vary from discussing childhood memories, relationship patterns, life transitions, coping techniques, children, pets, and practical problem solving strategies.

I prefer the one-on-one relationship that working in individual psychotherapy provides. My philosophy is that the bond that I build with you is the most important aspect of your journey.
