I am client-centered and goal-focused therapist. When beginning therapy we will work to understand the challenges that are leading you to seek support and collaborate to identify goals you want to work towards.
Together we explore life experiences that are holding you back to help you identify the life you want to experience. We will work together to develop new skills to help you regulate your emotions and live in the present moment.

I am trained in somatic approaches this means we will work on building a relationship between your mind and body. This may look like exploring sensations to learn when emotions are expressing themselves to help you develop skills to bring balance.
You will be able to talk about whatever is on your mind and what may be some of the hardest things to say to anyone. Everyone's story unfolds at their own pace. This is your time, your work. Together we will devise a plan to address your issues.

As a professional with almost 30 years in the field, I use evidenced-based treatments that produce results. You will be able to share what is weighing on you, challenging you in a non-judgmental, compassionate environment. Your healing is my focus!
My ultimate hope in therapy for my clients is to cultivate attunement and trust with themselves, and empowerment for their lives to reflect this.

I would describe my approach to therapy as attachment-based and focused on the mind-body connection. I am also trained in Brainspotting, a method of therapy which enables you to access, process, and release trauma "stored" in the body.
We will work on identifying the threads, both painful and joyful, that run through the stories of your life. Once we get a good sense of those contours, we'll start gently tugging apart the threads until the knot doesn't hurt anymore.

I often use more skills-based therapies as we begin work together to decrease the frequency and intensity of your symptoms. After you feel more stable, we use more insight-based, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed therapies to create lasting change.
