As an eating disorder therapist, I base my sessions in Health at Every Size and Intuitive eating, while building skills in emotional regulation and self-compassion.
Together, we will reduce symptoms by finding safety in the present, processing through the past (at YOUR pace), and working towards the future you want for yourself.

I am passionate about working with trauma survivors using a client-centered approach. I am trained in EMDR as well as other evidenced based modalities.
I would allow the client to choose what they want to work on. I help guide them through the process.

I practice CBT. herapy with me is solution-focused, meaning that clients walk away from each session with additional tools to get them to where they want to be.
At the first session, clients should expect to explain what brings them to therapy, and what they are hoping to achieve, and to come away from the session with some knowledge of coping skills or strategies that they can use right away.

The most common theoretical approaches I use in therapy are CBT, DBT, REBT, Seeking Safety, and Solution-focused therapy.
Map out the journey with checkpoints and destinations. The issues may be complex and overwhelming. The goal is not to retraumatize the client but to be deliberate in goal setting. It's like peeling an onion layer by layer.
