I take a humanistic approach, meeting you where you are and helping you to feel comfortable with addressing the factors of your life you want to change. We heal through connection, skills & awareness.
Together, we will dissect where the underlying feelings of being overwhelmed, irritability, anxiety, and depression are coming from. We will create a plan with specific goals that will include resources and taking time for thought and reflection.

I more than likely will incorporate some form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in your sessions. We will focus on how your thoughts affect your emotions and behaviors.
Together, we will have the opportunity to explore your relationships, be it with your partner(s), children, other family members, and friends. We will explore your relationship to mental health, your values, and any other goals you have for therapy.

Something to know about my approach is that it is collaborative, relational, sex positive, trauma-informed, culturally affirming, and informed by intersectional feminism.
Broad themes that I often discuss with clients include boundary work, patterns/roles in life and within relationships, and how the creative process can be included in the therapeutic work.

I have a nondirective therapeutic style. I let my clients lead what they want to explore and talk about in session. I include the creative process and art making as an important tool for self expression and explorations of emotions.
Through the process of therapy, we will work together to help you increase awareness of your own emotions and help you learn safe and effective ways to express your thoughts., navigate transitions and become the best version of yourself.
