Believing in empowerment, we will work together to identify the core of your issues, develop a strategy to improve your daily functioning, and tap into your inner strengths. Everyone is unique so I cater my treatment to meet your specific needs.
Get curious around our stories, behaviors, and reactions to get to know ourselves better and make informed decisions about how we want to show up in the world and our relationships. We'll probably do some laughing together as well :)

I take a very conversational, collaborative approach. I try to stitch together things that already work for you with my knowledge on specific interventions/skills. This helps create strategies that are more likely to stick for you!
Together, we will help you understand yourself better: what you're made of, what you want, what you're good at, and what you need to do to grow into the person you want to become.

I have an eclectic approach; I use a lot of cognitive behavioral methods (examine unhelpful thinking habits) combined with psychodynamic exploration (family history) to make connections to current difficulties. I also tend to use humor.
I focus on emotion identification. Learning to name what you feel is the first step in learning how to cope with emotions. This is how you learn to move with and through emotions rather than fight against them.

I use a person centered approach with a focus on strength identification and development of coping skills. Feeling heard, connected, and motivated leads to personal growth.
We'll examine your coping styles for dealing with distress and situations that might fall outside of your control; remember that it's okay not to always feel okay; utilize tools to help get through the not-so okay times of your life.

Together we'll set reasonable goals for our work together that focus on growth and change. My approach involves in-session exploration, processing, and interventions, as well as between-session exercises aimed to support your goals.
