When you work with me, I'll teach you coping skills and give you some homework. We'll discuss what worked and what didn't in each session. I won't tell you what to do, but I'll guide you to find what works best for you.

I incorporate person first therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and talk therapy into my practice. These approaches help me understand and support individuals by focusing on their unique experiences, motivations, and goals. Through open and empathetic conversations, I aim to empower my clients to make positive changes in their lives.
During our sessions, I will take the time to understand your needs and goals. We will create a treatment plan and you can expect therapeutic homework. I will provide psychoeducation and teach you practical ways to overcome barriers. My goal is to help you build confidence and cope with future challenges. Remember, therapy works if you work the therapy.

I use cognitive and emotional approaches in treatment, focusing on the connection between thoughts and feelings. Mindfulness is a powerful tool, and we will find what works for you. We'll also discuss communication, learning styles, and core beliefs to create lasting change. Family dynamics, cultural patterns, and trauma are important to explore. Motivational approaches will help us face tough issues and find direction. We'll measure progress through scaling and Christian faith-based counseling is available.
talk about interpersonal relationships (i.e. family dynamics, romantic partnerships), identity issues (i.e. diversity, self-confidence), and adulting obstacles (i.e. money management, major/career selection). We'll get you feeling clear & confident!

I'm very active in session. I will share my thoughts if you would like to hear them and I will ask permission to challenge the thoughts/fears that may be getting in your way. Therapy doesn't have to be serious all the time either; Dark humor is OK!
