Dr. Burris is a clinical and aeromedical psychologist specializing in the assessment and treatment of mental health issues related to trauma, medical conditions, LGBTQ+ status, grief/loss, and life stressors.
After an evaluation, we will work together to meet your treatment goals using up-to-date clinical approaches. Good therapy is always focused on helping you better understand yourself and the changes you want to make. It is not about indoctrination.

I use contemporary psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral approaches to assess/treat many conditions including personality disorders (e.g., narcissistic; borderline), sleep disorders (e.g., insomnia), anxiety, depression, and more unusual conditions.

My therapeutic approach integrates strength-based and person-centered techniques, emphasizing YOUR inner strengths and fostering a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I am trained in EMDR and also use person-center, CBT and DBT approaches.
