About Me:

  • My clients describe me as:

Calm and empathetic, a good listener. I deeply contemplate their goals and presenting problem and use evidence-based best practices to guide.

  • Something to know about my approach is:

My approach is heavily based on somatic work and EMDR. My work is ever evolving as I continue my own learning in heavily researched and effective modalities.

  • Together, we will:

Discuss anything the client is facing as barriers and goals. Persistent memories, intrusive thoughts, and difficult relationships in our own self and with others. Including polarizations within our own self and develop self compassion.

  • I specialize in working with people who:

Have had difficult experiences in their life that they struggle to accept or process. I work with people who need to understand their histories and current self to move forward in life. Oftentimes these people are survivors of assault or neglect.

  • I became a therapist because:

I fell in love with psychology after years of working as a yoga teacher and fitness specialist. I realized how connected the mind and body are.

  • Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:

Moonrise therapy and wellness is an inclusive, warm, and welcoming space. The practice is supportive, LGBTQIA+ safe, small and client-centered.

  • More about me and my practice:

Beyond classic therapeutic modalities like CBT, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and I have training in EMDR basics (60 hrs) and Integrative Somatic Parts work. I work with children, adults, and couples.
