My clients describe me as:
I will cultivate a warm, safe, and judgement-free haven for mothers who are having a difficult time navigating and/or adjusting to motherhood.
Something to know about my approach is:
I will incorporate a variety of evidence-based techniques from the premise of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).
Together, we will:
Uncover reasons you feel drained and overwhelmed, discuss any unresolved trauma, and provide you with the necessary tools to navigate life challenges as you adjust to motherhood.
I specialize in working with people who:
Women having difficulties adjusting to motherhood, life transitions, unresolved trauma, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem/confidence, job stress, and codependency.
I became a therapist because:
Growing up in a predominant Black Caribbean community, I realized that therapy was not positively regarded as a coping option due to its stigmas.
More about me and my practice:
My philosophy and approach to therapy reinforces the importance of moving toward courage. Courage supports our strength and resilience. It is important that we develop the courage to take active steps toward growth and healing.
