My clients describe me as:
Knowlegable, methodical, and kind.
Something to know about my approach is:
Everyone faces unique challenges, so I tailor my approach individually. One of my abiding interests has been how to best initiate and sustain positive personal growth from within, based upon both psychological and neuroscientific understandings.
Together, we will:
Transform the experience of living on a day-to-day basis
I specialize in working with people who:
Deal with ADHD, Alcohol Use, Anger Management, Anxiety, Behavioral Issues, Bipolar Disorder, Chronic Impulsivity, Chronic Pain, Coping Skills, Depression, Emotional Disturbance, Life Coaching, Grief, Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD), Spirituality, Stress, Trauma and PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury and Suicidal Ideation
I became a therapist because:
Everybody needed hope for us to keep moving forward. Being able to be the beacon of that hope gave me the courage to push through and make breakthroughs in the field of psychology.
More about me and my practice:
I have worked in the mental health field since volunteering on a crisis hotline in NYC after 9/11. I received my clinical degree at Hunter College School of Social Work (CUNY) in 2006 and soon after relocated to Asheville, North Carolina. Once here I worked as a therapist in several community-based organizations, before joining a progressive residential facility (CooperRiis) where I went on to serve as Clinical Director. When I worked at CooperRiis, I recruited a Harvard neuroscientist to work on our team and we were able to offer some of the most cutting edge, brain-based approaches available anywhere.
