I like to begin therapy by learning about what coping skills you already have in place. We want to build on what is working for you. Then we work on thoughts and feelings you would like to change and add skills you can use going forward. (CBT/DBT)
Together, we will:
We will discuss your goals, your current concerns, societal challenges that are impacting you, and strategies you can use to improve your mental health. My goal is to help you discover and meet your goals and have the kind of life you want to live.
I specialize in working with people who:
are looking to understand why they are feeling the way they do and who want to make a change in their lives. People who want to improve their relationships with themselves and others. People who have experienced hardships and need support.
I became a therapist because:
I view mental health therapy as a form of social justice. I truly believe improving a person's mental health can change the world.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
It is important to me that a therapy space is comfortable for all of my clients. I have a small, clean, and bright office that offers privacy.
More about me and my practice:
I am originally from North Carolina, but I have lived and worked in Los Angeles, Chicago, Indianapolis, and have been in Houston since 2012.
