I see patients Tuesdays through Fridays from 8:30am-5:30pm MST with therapy on Thursdays and Fridays
My clients describe me as:
Patients note that I feel like a well-informed and evidenced-based cousin or friend with life experiences that oftentimes mirror theirs.
Something to know about my approach is:
I support multicultural people, faith transitions, sexual trauma, and reconciling faith and sexuality. My approach is collaborative and individualized using techniques from CBT, CPT, ACT, DBT, SE, systems, and coordinating when relevant.
Together, we will:
Realize you are LGBTQ+ in a conservative family? Immigrated or third culture trying to adjust? Want to know your partner better or expand your family? Need a psychological evaluation? Build the life you want to live connecting to your inner wisdom.
I specialize in working with people who:
Patients experiencing faith transitions, sexual trauma symptoms, multicultural relationship dynamics, and who are trying to make sense of their LGBTQ and/or Black Indigenous People of Color/Culture (BIPOC) identities tend to enjoy working with me.
I became a therapist because:
When I was 17, my friend died by overdose and I knew I wanted to support peoples' mental health to prevent such tragedies in the future.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
I offer therapy virtually. While I primarily speak English, I am also conversational in Spanish and have elementary Arabic skills (Egyptian dialect).
More about me and my practice:
Born and raised by Coptic parents in the U.S., I connect to my faith and ethnicity through my ancestors, and I have experienced pain from its teachings which inspires my work. My values include equity, family, balance, & ecology.
