I start with creating a safe, non-judgmental environment for people to open up and do their work. I will deeply listen to the story of your experience, validate your perspective, and express empathic concern. Demonstrate my understanding and help you clarify your needs. From there, I offer curated tools. The goal? Healing for lasting change.

Set goals for therapy: what do you hope to gain and what might you need to let go of? From there, we collaborate. We are a team: you provide the expertise on your life. I provide the mental health expertise. Together, we create a blueprint for change. Because you need to have input. Therapy is not one-size-fits all. Your voice matters.

Clients appreciate that the tools I offer are based on research; meaning, they have been proven to be effective. Finally, they really love the tools. That we don't just talk, and I don't just say "uh-huh, tell me more." We dig in. Safely.

Have trauma or complex trauma. How would you know? Well, if you are confused as to why you are reacting "this way" in the here and now, it might be from something that happened to you in the past that didn't get healed. A wound. Most of us have one of these wounds. It might show up as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or just overall stress.

I was working as a preschool teacher after graduating from Berkeley with a Psychology degree. I realized that I wanted to try to prevent a lot of the mental health challenges I was seeing starting in these young kids, and with their parents, so I went back and got my master's degree. My passion is very simple: helping. Preventing suffering if possible.

If you are hesitant about online therapy, please trust that the effectiveness is the same whether in person or online. In fact, many of the clients I originally saw in person say they prefer virtual. No fighting traffic, cutting down on carbon emissions, and even the confidentiality piece: you aren't sitting with anyone in the waiting room. Give it a try!
