My approach is rooted in the relationship we forge together. As we are often hurt in relationship, we heal in relationship as well. Our therapy process will be a collaborative effort to identify and meet your specific needs and is grounded in trauma-informed and identity affirming care, focused on the here-and-now of your unique experience.

We will build a connected and honest relationship that allows you to try new ways of being, to challenge yourself to grow, and to experiment safely with making changes you want to put into action in your life. We will focus on moment to moment experiences in the therapy room and use that to build insight, confidence, and a connection to your personal agency.

My clients describe me as curious, trustworthy, safe, and fearlessly but gently honest. They would say I care about the diverse facets of your identity and the way the world has challenged and sometimes celebrated the parts of your being. They would say I am comfortable in the ambiguity of not knowing and eager to challenge what feels rigid and immovable.

I work with people who need a deeply felt sense of trust and safety in order to open up. Maybe this is because your identity has not been respected, or you find yourself without words to describe your feelings, or vulnerability is scary because it's where hurt happened. I create a validating and nonjudgmental relationship before we go deep.
