I provide various cognitive behavioral interventions, which are gold-standard treatments for a number of mental and behavioral health disorders (Hayes & Hofmann, 2018). This approach focuses on immediate situations and responses and offers actionable steps to help individuals move past their struggles. We track progress and adjust treatment if needed.

For those struggling with depression, anxiety, insomnia, binge eating, nicotine use, and chronic pain, these problems are automatic patterns of responding that are maintained despite creating problems. This understanding encourages us to focus on skills you can practice in the moment to disrupt the cycle.

I became a psychologist because I have been interested in how people make difficult changes for quite some time now. Clinical psychology is informed by applied science. Countless research studies have illuminated how psychological disorders develop and how to make improvements. This science informs my practice.

I started Pivot Behavioral Health because I want to increase access to evidence-based care. Not everyone needs an intensive form of therapy. That's why I offer three different levels of care, outpatient psychotherapy, guided self-help, and peer support groups to meet the various needs of my clients.
