Jeanine Moreland

My approach is grounded in Relational Cultural Theory, which is built on the idea that people grow through and toward connection, but our culture sometimes pushes us to compete and stand apart. It is an egalitarian approach to relationships in which you are the expert in your life. My role is to help you explore options, gain perspective, and build skills.

Together we will spend time exploring how you learned to be in relationship, your beliefs about relationships, and your beliefs about yourself in relationships. We will also explore your relationship with yourself focusing on bolstering self-esteem and self-worth. This insight oriented approach is supported by skill building from CBT, DBT & ACT therapies.

My therapeutic approach is empathic and direct, and is enabled by humor and psychoeducation. I focus on empowerment and self-determination.

I specialize in working with people who are struggling in relationships, have experienced trauma, are struggling with grief, and working with the LGBTQ+ community.
