My approach is client-centered, collaborative, and culturally conscious. As a relational therapist, I pay special attention to your social identities and how they impact your intimate relationships. Based on your social identities and unique experiences, I pull from different models to meet your own personal needs. This way we can find what works for you!

Identify cycles that make you feel stuck and break those cycles. First, we'll explore when, where, and how the problem takes place. At this stage, I'll give you an experiment to try at home to solve the problem. If the experiment doesn't work, that's okay! We'll figure out what got in the way and try different solutions until we get it right.

A calm, grounding presence that meets my clients where they're at. I make space for both logic and emotion in the therapy room, as both are important for personal growth. I am like a sounding board that helps you reach your own conclusions for yourself and your relationships. Though I am affirming, I'm not afraid to challenge you to help achieve your goals.

I specialize in working with Black/POC women and neurodivergent folks. As a black woman myself, I know the struggles of being mistreated by American society. As a therapist, I help black/POC women reclaim their power. Similarly, neurodivergent folks are often misunderstood, so I am passionate about giving practical tools to support managing ADHD and ASD.

As a black woman and first-generation Nigerian-American, I know therapy has been inaccessible and even harmful for many groups based on their race, ethnicity, and gender. That is why I am particularly passionate about representing black women as a therapist and working with black/POC folks and women. I create space for oppressed groups to find their voice.

With my Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northwestern University, I have had the privilege of supporting a diverse range of couples, families, and individuals over the course of two years. Now, with my Associate’s License for Marriage and Family Therapy, I am honored to continue this rewarding work at Grace Therapy and Wellness Center!
