About Me:

  • My clients describe me as:

Someone who's understands your struggles. There is truth in your pain. There is growth in your pain. Let’s work with it together.

  • Something to know about my approach is:

My approach is client-centered, goal-focused, and empathic - you are your BEST advocate and I welcome you to this new beginning. I believe that Emotional and Mental pain is not something that should be hidden away and never spoken about.

  • Together, we will:

    Mindful, compassionate, and encouraging.

  • I became a therapist because:

After the tragic suicide of my 19-year-old son-Jamal Clay in 2020, I felt compelled to continue his legacy and share his story with others impacted by suicide and trauma

  • More about me and my practice:

My advocacy and education have led me to be trained in Trauma-Focused Therapy, Grief Therapy, EMDR, and CBT. I was featured in the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Southtown, Chicago Crusader, NPR- Science Friday edition (produced by the Kaiser Health Foundation), WVON 1690am, the Black News Channel, and will be a presenter at the 2022 American Association of Suicidology Conference Chicago Illinois.
