Are teens and young adults with big hearts who often hide their struggles and emotions and feel like they aren't living up to the goals they have for themselves. They feel overwhelmed with their racing thoughts and question their decisions and behaviors.

I enjoy connecting and supporting people one on one and wanted to create a space where people feel comfortable opening up and being themselves. What I love most about being a therapist is learning about peoples' passions and interests, exploring what makes each person unique, and celebrating our similarities and differences.

I have a passion for working with teens and young adults who are navigating difficult times. I have worked in outpatient clinics and schools since 2012 and opened up my own practice, Encourage Joy Therapy in 2024. I grew up in small town in Iowa but have called Des Moines home for the last several years. I knit and am a fan of the Heartstopper series.
