Warm, encouraging, accepting. Since I have ADHD, anxiety, & depression myself, the counseling, empathy, and solutions I offer are very down-to-earth.
I'm an active advocate for social justice. While a conversation on "politics" & human rights isn’t required, it’s 100% welcome in these sessions. Also, I practice counseling from a secular perspective. Please see my website's Diversity page for more.
Figure out what is and isn't working for you in your day-to-day life. If there are aspects of your life that are decreasing your happiness, we'll see if there are changes you can make in your actions and/or thought processes to improve those things.
Suspect they might have ADHD or already know for sure. I also help people who are living with anxiety, depression, and general stress. While I do live with ADHD, anxiety, & depression myself, sessions focus on you and your needs, of course.
I first went to therapy as a teenager, and I found it to be an overall positive and helpful experience. I love helping people, so it just makes sense.
All sessions take place via Zoom videoconferencing. It can happen during your lunch break, & you don't have to waste time driving to/from your appt.
I've been a counselor since 2009, and I still love this work! There's a lot of helpful information on my website, so please be sure to check it out. I offer free 15-minute consultations so you can see if I can actually provide what you're seeking.
