I work from a psychodynamic orientation, focused on complex trauma and repeating relationship patterns. Rather than targeting symptoms in isolation, I am interested in the underlying conflicts and relational patterns that give rise to present difficulties. My approach is open-ended and insight-oriented.

Work to understand the unconscious patterns and relational dynamics shaping your present difficulties. This is not primarily about symptom relief, though that often follows. It is about developing a deeper understanding of yourself and gradually gaining more freedom in how you relate to others and to yourself.

Thoughtful, direct, and genuinely curious. Someone who takes the work seriously without losing a sense of humor about it. Engaged and present rather than distant or clinical, willing to say something real when it matters, while remaining attentive to what's happening beneath the surface.

Find themselves returning to the same kinds of relationships or emotional situations despite their best efforts to change. This often reflects the long-term effects of complex or relational trauma, attachment disruptions, or deeply ingrained patterns of relating that formed early and operate largely outside of awareness

I was drawn to the questions that other approaches seemed to sidestep: why people repeat painful patterns despite genuine effort to change, what lies beneath the surface of presenting symptoms, and how early relational experience continues to organize adult life. I became a therapist because I wanted to do work that took those questions seriously.

My practice is small and intentionally so. I work with a limited number of clients to do sustained, intensive work. I am particularly interested in cases others have found difficult or treatment-resistant, and I am comfortable with complexity and ambiguity. I take the therapeutic relationship seriously as the primary vehicle of change.
