Pay close attention to your experience of emotion, observing in order to learn how to get close enough to the feeling to relate to it, but not so close that it becomes flooding. This process helps one to discern which elements of experience can be altered through action or attention, and what we must work to accept.

My clients don't often share descriptions of me, but they have described and I have observed meaningful change in the quality of their relationships with themselves and others, a greater sense of calm and solidity in the face of changing feeling and experience, increased clarity in decision making, and a fuller experience of the full spectrum of emotion.

I came to realize that I wanted to continue engaging with these questions, and to learn to help others follow their curiosity as well.
