I am person-centered in my approach and as such, my methods are less structured and more focused on building a safe and trusting relationship with my clients. I am trained in multiple trauma treatment methods and use this knowledge to support my clients in gaining greater understanding of themselves and to make the changes they want to see.

my own experience with counseling as a teenager was disappointing and it led me to want to create a different experience for others. My hope is to practice in a manner that always leaves clients with the feeling that therapy can be an option for them even if we were not the right fit.

I believe in allowing my clients to direct the path of treatment as much as possible. I also strongly believe that life requires a sense of humor and try to integrate that into my work with clients as appropriate. Being able to laugh with my clients while we work is a true joy in my opinion. I am a supporter/member of the LGBTQIA2S+ community.
