Dana Demchak

My approach is focused on safety, trust, and connection, all things that trauma tends to disrupt. I'm a trauma- and emotion-focused therapist that specializes in working with trauma, dissociation, and OCD. As a queer and neurodivergent human myself, I also greatly enjoy working with the LGBTQ+ community and my fellow neurodivergent folks.

Together we will help you understand your needs, your emotions, and your internal world with compassion and care. While we will explore the hard stuff, and try to lessen and ease the pain, we will also build your capacity to experience joy - connection, love, the deeply human need to be understood and seen. We will help you feel less alone.

My clients would describe me as insightful, consistent, with a dry sense of humor that helps even the heavy stuff feel lighter. I've been told that my face has subtitles, and you'll never have to guess how I'm feeling or what I'm thinking. I really pride being authentically myself as a therapist, so that we can create a space to be genuine together.
