Warm, curious, and encouraging. I am someone who offers a potentially new perspective that comes from a place of curiosity.
I have found a diverse and comprehensive approach to be most impactful during treatment. I prefer to meld multiple modalities together. When working with eating disorders, I take a Health At Every Size (HAES) approach.
Challenge beliefs that are no longer serving you. We will try new things in a way that feels tolerable. We will discuss, explore, and process thoughts and feelings. We will celebrate the wins!
My biggest passions lie in three primary groups: eating disorders, chronic illness/disease, and trauma. Each of these diagnoses/conditions can alter how we approach life. I have also found that they can be protective forces that foster resilience.
I found myself falling into eating disorder treatment at an outpatient level while doing post-graduate work in Colorado despite little to no exposure to eating disorders. I love the complex cases where we get to experiment together and work together!
