I encourage client to focus on the here and now letting go of the past and moving forward with their lives to reach their goals.
My most common approach to therapy is client centered approach and cognitive behavioral therapy. My theories are supporting the client in making their own choices and helping them identify the pros and cons of the choices.
I approach goal setting in the client identifying their personal goals and how they want the therapist to help them reach their goals.
Types of client I most typically work with are substance abuse, anxiety disorder, depression, anger management and bipolar disorder. I very much enjoy working with the addictive personality group of clients,
I very much enjoy the one on one in counseling and being able to not have to rush through a session.
My name is Janice Bushong, I am a Licensed Professional counselor in the state of Missouri. I have a history of working in substance abuse, individual therapy, group therapy and couples therapy.
