I am very experienced in Crises Prevention and Intervention having worked in Psychiatric emergency for over 20 years, I provide psycho-education on mental illness and substance abuse. Teach families on how to support their loved one.

Together, we will:

Develop a Family Action Plan. Steps family can take to support loved one in treatment. It can include setting limits and boundaries, use of local and county and state resources. Understand the illness and appropriate response to symptoms.

I specialize in working with people who:

Parents, siblings, off springs and spouses of mentally ill and substance abusers. These are un sung heroes who know their relative has a illness, they play role of caregiver in getting loved one in treatment. I support them and prevent burn out.

I became a therapist because:

I became a Clinician because I experienced mental illness in my family and know how the healthy family member is affected and takes a toll on them.

Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:

House calls for special circumstances. In person in Highland Park, New Jersey and via Zoom. Flexible in scheduling.

More about me and my practice:

I understand how a care giver is affected and needs information, education, support and skills and tools to cope. I teach advocacy and empower relatives of mentally ill to learn to balance caregiver needs and self care.
