"easy to talk to," "insightul," "direct," "encouraging," "warm," "real," and "likable". I check in often with clients to see if my ideas resonate.
Something to know about my approach is:
that it's collaborative. My client and I are a team, working together and creating weekly goals that make sense and that are doable. These frequent smaller successes lead to my client's confidence, skill set, and ultimate goal attainment.
Together, we will:
remove the obstacles standing in the way of feeling better. We'll uncover faulty thinking and practice new thoughts leading to better moods. We'll identify choices that you previously didn't know existed.
I specialize in working with people who:
feel stuck in aspects of their lives. People often feel depressed, anxious, or stressed when they feel stuck. A variety of symptoms can result including procrastination, sleep difficulties, trouble concentrating, feeling scattered.
I became a therapist because:
I learned early on that what makes me happy is being of service to others and helping others feel better..
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
that I provide only online therapy and have been doing so since 2013, years prior to covid's appearance. Online therapy is great for busy people.
More about me and my practice:
I provide a blend of cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy while at the same time keeping an eye on concrete goals. Goals keep the course of therapy running on track and help my clients feel better more directly.
