I like to meet my clients where they are at and provide a holistic approach to counseling. Too often, suffering is pathologized as a set of diagnostic traits; questioning what is wrong with you, instead of exploring what has happened to you. I'd like to hear your authentic story.

When clients are ready for it, I like to go deeper and address the core issues of what is causing emotional suffering. This encompasses: using trauma informed and strength based approaches, non-violent communication, mindfulness, acceptance commitment therapy, and IFS (internal family systems) to examine your somatic parts that overwhelm your nervous system.

As a result of my intersecting identities and experiences, I have spent a lot of time examining the social determinants of health and how all of these impact overall suffering and society. I like to examine systems and institutions - they inform the ways that we perceive the world, how we relate to others, and the type of choices we make.
