I create an environment of acceptance, empathic understanding, and unconditional positive regard.
I have treated individuals, couples, and families in a variety of therapeutic settings. The clients I work with experience a safe and supportive environment where they can express their needs and overcome barriers to emotional wellness.
Goal setting is a shared process in which the client and I identify problems to be addressed in therapy and set at least 3 achievable goals that are addressed in each session until they have been met.
I work with persons diagnosed as having anxiety, PTSD, depression, mood disorders, personality disorders, psychotic disorders, normal, prolonged, and traumatic grief, cultural/racial issues, gender and age-specific concerns, and self-esteem issues.
I have enjoyed supporting and empowering women, men, and POC to feel better about themselves.
I love to work with people who are struggling with cultural conflicts in their family, as well as people who are having difficulty with age-related changes in their lives.
