I view much of emotional pain through the lens of grief and loss. Grief isn't only about death. It comes from divorce, infertility, health challenges, caregiving, childhhood abuse/neglect, adoption, trauma, or the loss of a life that you thought you would have. My therapeutic approach is grief sensitive, trauma informed, compassionate and client centered.

Therapy with me is meaningful work, together we will calm your nervous system and your inner world will feel more manageable. Over time, my clients feel more grounded, less overwhelmed by their emotions, and kinder toward themselves. You will learn how to sit with your feelings, set boundaries, ask for what you need and create a life that feels manageable.

Working with me feels like talking with someone who truly gets it. I move at your pace and focus on helping you feel safe enough to share your story, even if you don't have the words yet. Clients often tell me they feel comfortable quickly, like they can finally exhale. There is room for honesty, emotion, and even a little humor when it fits.

I work with adults navigating grief, loss, trauma, emotional overeating, and life transitions. I offer in person therapy in Nashville Tennessee and virtual sessions in Tennessee and Illinois. I provide a free 20-30 minute phone consultation.

I became a therapist because therapy changed my own life, and I know how powerful it is to finally feel seen and understood. I bring both professional training and lived experience to this work. I am a mother, an adoptee, and someone who has navigated profound loss and major transitions firsthand. These experiences shape how I show up for my clients.

Many of the adults I work with have tried therapy before and left feeling unseen or misunderstood. Others cope by staying busy, pushing their feelings away, or being hard on themselves for struggling. What they're really longing for is to feel heard, accepted, and understood without judgement.
