Together, we’ll get curious about the things that aren’t working, understand why they made sense at some point, and figure out what needs to change. I won’t pretend to have all the answers, and I won’t expect you to either. We’ll do the work together, with honesty, compassion, and probably some humor along the way.

Direct, compassionate, occasionally sarcastic, and not easily rattled. I can sit with the really hard stuff without making it harder. I ask questions, challenge assumptions, and know when humor helps. I take the work seriously, but that doesn’t mean we have to take ourselves seriously all the time.

No clipboard interrogation or pressure to tell me your entire life story in 50 minutes. We’ll talk about what brought you in, what’s working, what isn’t, and what you’re hoping might change. I’ll ask questions, you’ll ask questions, and we’ll start figuring out whether I’m the right person to help. No perfect answers required.

I’ve always been fascinated by people, especially the parts of us that don’t make sense on the surface. I became a therapist because I believe there’s a reason behind most of what we do, even when we don’t understand it ourselves. I’m drawn to complexity, uncomfortable conversations, and helping people who have been told they’re too much or too complicated.

I’m the founder of Nashville Center for Trauma & Psychotherapy, where we believe people are complex and care should be too. I specialize in trauma, dissociation, and the things that don’t always fit neatly into a diagnosis. I value clinical expertise, genuine connection, and being human first. Therapy shouldn’t feel like talking to a textbook.
