Megan Souther

I’m a licensed therapist with over a decade of experience in mental health and addiction treatment. My style is direct, warm, and collaborative. I draw from both professional training and personal experience. I’m thoughtful about what I recommend. I focus on tools that are both research-supported and practical in real life.

Together, we will define your goals and explore your past without spending too much time there. We will use it as a way to better understand your current patterns and behaviors. We’ll also identify clear, tangible markers of progress so we both know when you’re moving toward (and reaching) your goals.

My clients would describe me as helpful, attuned, and someone who truly “gets it.” I bring a mix of humor, directness, and compassion into the work, creating a space that feels both supportive and honest. I aim to help clients feel understood while also gently challenging them to grow. I value authenticity and strive to meet each person where they are.

I struggled a lot as a teen and young adult and never found a therapist who truly “got it.” I wanted to work with someone who had lived experience and could genuinely understand what I was going through. I often felt like the therapists I saw lacked a sense of humanness. I became the therapist I wish I had. Someone who is real, engaged, and understands.
