I seek to be warm, genuine, and authentic. The most important predictor of success in therapy is not the treatment modality but feeling comfortable with your therapist. I try to meet clients where they are at in their journey and do so in a way that is practical. My approach with everyone isn't always the same.

a real down to earth person. I hear from clients, "you are pretty easy to talk to" and "you don't spend the entire session talking about yourself." The progress and feedback of my clients is what keeps me committed to being a counselor.

I come from a family of helpers. I have family members that are medical professionals, volunteers, teachers, and ministers. As a former teacher, I enjoyed connecting and hearing the interesting stories of my students. I enjoyed giving guidance and support and took a leap of faith to dedicate myself completely to counseling.

Prior to my career as a therapist, I spent 7 years in education as a high school AP physics teacher. I spent numerous hours a day tormenting my students with algebraic equations. Years later, I’ve come to make amends by providing people with ways to manage life stressors.
