My approach is very client centered & collaborative. I believe that you are the expert on you, & it is my job to walk alongside you to support. I want you to feel as though you can come into session just as you are. Whatever you bring to session, we will unpack and explore together, with no judgement or shame from me. My hope is to create a place of safety.

Together we will work to figure out how to navigate the issues at hand. I won’t pretend to have all the answers, but will help you to get to whatever the answer looks like for you. I aim to work with you to get you to a point where you don’t need me anymore, as you feel confident implementing the things that you have learned during your time in therapy.

My clients would describe me as warm, empathetic, understanding, & adaptable. I welcome feedback as to how I can best make therapy work for you. As someone with chronic illness/disability, I know how hard & exhausting self-advocacy can be. I want our work together to be a place where you can feel empowered, not exhausted or shamed for feedback or advocacy.

I specialize in working with people who have experienced trauma, grief and loss, or have been diagnosed with a chronic illness/disability. I am specifically interested in medical trauma as well as hospital trauma.

I became a therapist because of my own experience with therapy. Growing up with a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy and then being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis later in life, I’ve seen firsthand the invaluable support that a therapist can provide. We are not meant to face challenges alone! Support is out there.

I am uniquely qualified to assist those dealing with medical trauma as well as birth/NICU trauma, due to my own experiences. I spent 80 days in the NICU and I can relate to being told all of the things you will “never do” in life.
