I like to approach clients' symptoms with curiosity as we explore and learn more about the client, together.
I do not have clients walk me through the details of their trauma. I focus on working with clients to identify triggers and reduce the intensity, duration, and frequency of symptoms.
The ultimate goal is for clients and their families to learn more about the effects trauma has on the body, triggers, and to reduce the frequency, intensity, and duration of symptoms. Clients are active participants in goal setting.
I work with clients, couples, and families where one or more persons in the household have experienced adverse childhood events, abuse, work-related trauma, personality disorders, dissociative disorders, etc.
Being a trauma survivor myself it has really been my goal to have pain with purpose. I feel honored to be included in someones healing journey.
