My aim is to hold space where you can bring your full self with all of the beauty and messiness that entails. There may be parts of you that you find painful to engage with or perhaps even want me to fix or remove; these are often the parts that need the most care and attention.

Folks have described me as gentle yet challenging. In this process I will listen to you, at times challenge you, and actively collaborate with you.

Instead of a 15 minute phone consultation, I offer an in-person full hour initial session that I only charge for if we continue to work together. During that hour we can get a sense of each other, you can share what is going on with you, and I will let you know what you can expect from me and our work together.

As someone who has done and continues to do my own therapeutic work, I recognize that therapy can be a difficult experience. However, it can also be life giving, and over time this work can help you see yourself, be with yourself and care for yourself as you are, which can lead to needed healing, change, and relief.

I work within several frameworks, including Object-Relations theory, psychodynamic work, and relational psychotherapy. I pay attention to your mind-body connection as well as how your religious/spiritual beliefs and experiences have impacted you and continue to impact you.
