My approach is ideal for long-term health, preferring to do the deeper work often needed for holistic, lasting change rather than short fixes! I enjoy utilizing humor, and creative approaches to therapy, providing balance and support within our work.
Together we will identify individualized goals such as coping skills, communication skills, healthy boundaries, healthy relationships, anger management, self-love, forgiveness, grief, process feelings, discuss past trauma, and/or addiction concerns.

Something to know about my approach is that I am unconventional. Meaning I cuss, I will speak the hard truths, and I will provide a safe space where you can be vulnerable.
Resolve conflict and improve communication- whether that is with your partner, your family, your coworkers, etc.

I appreciate honesty and require little to no filter to be used by clients. Sarcasm and humor find their way into every session one way or another.

I draw on many different theories in my work as a counselor: attachment theory, mindfulness and meditation, psychodynamic theory, stages of change model, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and CBT. I will tailor our work together to your needs.
Together we will explore the issues that bring you to treatment and assume a problem-solving approach to deal with those challenges. We will look into patterns of behavior that cause distress in your life and ways to alter behavior for the better.

My approach is person-centered; treating the process as a means for clients to become more empowered in their own lives. While direct in my approach, I believe that the client is in the "driver's seat".
