Justin Shupe

My approach to therapy is client centered, trauma informed, and strengths based. I believe you are the expert on your own experience, and my role is to support you in making sense of what you are going through while building tools that fit your life and goals.

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you’re unsure where to begin. My goal is to create a calm, supportive, and down-to-earth space where you feel heard, respected, and understood. I approach therapy with curiosity and compassion, meeting you where you are and moving at a pace that feels right for you.

I primarily have worked with children, teens, and young adults, supporting them through the emotional, relational, and identity related challenges that often come with these stages of life. I also work with parents and caregivers as part of supporting younger clients, helping strengthen understanding, communication, and connection.

I became a therapist because I am passionate about supporting others through life’s challenges and transitions. I strive to meet each client where they are, respect their journey, and honor the trust it takes to begin therapy. It is a privilege to walk alongside clients as they navigate growth, healing, and self-understanding.

I earned my Master of Social Work and Bachelor of Social Work from California State University, Chico, and I also have an academic background in Child and Adolescent Development. I am currently gaining my clinical hours toward licensure and am committed to learning, growing, and being fully present with the clients I serve.
