My clients describe me as:
People have told me that I have a calm and gentle way about me, and I hope that translates into a positive and supportive therapeutic experience.
Something to know about my approach is:
that I use a blend of Psychodynamic Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy, which means that we will focus on developing insight and collaborating on therapy goals. What matters most to me in therapy is creating a safe and trusting environment for you.
Together, we will:
identify the narratives that we learn from childhood experiences and culture (parents/caregivers, family, media, etc.), and seeing if they still align with what is useful to you. If not, we will work together to create more intentional narrative.
I specialize in working with people who:
are struggling with complex trauma that impacts their parenting or partner relationships. This includes people who are new to parenting, and are expecting their first.
I became a therapist because:
I grew up in a family where I wasn't often heard or encouraged to speak, and I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to feel seen and accepted.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
I'm able to meet with you anywhere in California or Connecticut, assuming it's secure/private and you have a good connection!
