My clients describe me as:
I'm interactive and engaged. I'm focused, attuned, and, attentive to you and the details of your life.
Something to know about my approach is:
My approach is collaborative, attachment focused, and trauma informed; I'll seek your feedback throughout our time working together to make sure you're comfortable with how we're working together and approaching your concerns.
Together, we will:
work together to understand yourself, your relationship patterns, the beliefs about yourself and others you've developed. We'll explore experiences and dynamics that have shaped you, and work to shift the way you think about yourself.
I specialize in working with people who:
have experienced difficult childhoods, feel controlled by health anxiety, feel overwhelmed by grief, people who've noticed relationship patterns they'd like to modify (e.g people pleasing/codependence, or, being controlling or verbally abusive).
I became a therapist because:
I've had my own life challenges and wanted to help others understand what they're experiencing, feel less alone, and feel better about their lives.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
My office is located in Old Town Pasadena in a beautiful historic building. Additionally, I offer "walk and talk" sessions. See my website for more.
More about me and my practice:
I'm EMDR trained and enjoy using EMDR with many of my clients. However, I use a variety of modalities and approaches in my work and have a slightly different approach with each client. I like to weave "here and now" feedback into sessions.
