My clinical philosophy is that trauma and avoidance are often what keep us stuck in patterns of suffering. Real change happens when we become willing to step outside of our comfort zone and look at ourselves differently. Change is possible but it requires a willingness to do things differently, tolerate discomfort, and hold ourselves accountable.

Together we will work through overcoming trauma and painful childhood experiences, navigating family boundary issues, and understanding and managing your anxiety, obsessions and compulsions. We will utilize a mix of talk therapy and structured, protocol-based therapies and exposures.

Clients often describe my style as warm, funny, validating, and gently challenging. I aim to create an environment where you feel fiercely supported, but also encouraged to take action.

I was born in Russia and immigrated to California when I was six. I spent many years in Los Angeles before planting my adult roots in the Bay Area. Growing up between Russian, Armenian, and American cultures shaped a lot of how I understand identity, belonging, and the complexity of family expectations—themes that inform the work I do with clients today.
