My clients describe me as:
My clients describe me as a blend of warm and compassionate, but also direct. I get underneath their defenses so they can explore vulnerability.
Something to know about my approach is:
I have spent the past 15 years working in intensive treatment settings (eating disorders, substance use disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression and related-disorders). I incorporate DBT, IFS-informed, polyvagal theory and psychodynamic approaches.
Together, we will:
We will explore the functions of beliefs and behaviors that are no longer serving you. We will release trauma, anxiety and feelings stored in your body so that you can have a fulfilling life.
I specialize in working with people who:
I specialize eating disorders and help those who feel self-doubt, insecurity and sometimes withdraw from doing the things you enjoy. Your feelings of depression, anxiety or memories of past traumas are sapping the life out of you.
I became a therapist because:
I want to help people recover from eating disorders, trauma, perfectionism and anxiety.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
I balance warmth, compassion and validation with accountability and being direct. My office is warm, client-centered and welcoming.
More about me and my practice:
I believe every person has the inherent wisdom needed to live a fulfilling life. Sometimes we just need help connecting to those parts of ourselves. It takes courage to face the things you have been avoiding.
