Jonathan Captain

Hi and welcome, I'm Jon! My approach is warm, curious, empathetic, accepting, and playful, and I welcome whatever thoughts and feelings you bring to session. I'm also analytical, science-based, and willing to challenge you on your growing edge. I hold space for people who are healing from trauma and adversity, and admire the deep courage that implies.

I'm here to support you in reaching your goals, so our first sessions will focus on building trust and understanding your needs and priorities. I know each client is unique and we'll find what works for you, whether that means building skills to manage stress and strong emotions, developing self-awareness and insight, unburdening and healing trauma, etc.

My clients have described me as empathetic, insightful, supportive, and attuned. I often get feedback that I strike a helpful balance between validating their experiences and compassionately challenging them toward growth and healing. I've been told that our therapeutic relationship has helped them restore trust in themselves and learn to trust others.
