I prioritize building trust and connection first because meaningful change happens when clients feel safe, heard, and understood. Develop goals together to have direction, and maintain space for client to explore what matters most to them since the previous session. Create a safe environment to discuss anything, including topics that are sensitive.

Collaborate to gain coping skills, stretch resilience, gain confidence, and grow self-understanding. This will happen through learning about your emotions and thoughts, creating boundaries, and taking ownership of self through confidence building.

Approachable and down-to-earth. Someone who can connect with children and teens without talking over them or minimizing what they are experiencing. Someone who listens deeply, and can balance the necessary serious conversations with light hearted jokes and positive energy.

Everyone deserves to feel seen and understood. No matter what age you are, I want you to know that your thoughts, feelings, and experience matter to me.
