I do my best work with kids, teens, and the people who love them. I don’t see children or teens as “the problem.” I see them as part of a family system that’s doing its best, even when things feel stuck, tense, or overwhelming.

When I sit with a child or teen, I’m paying attention not just to what they say, but to what might be harder to put into words- the worries, the pressure, the quiet questions about who they are and where they fit. I want them to feel like they don’t have to perform or get it “right” with me. We’ll figure things out together.

Clients often tell me I’m easy to talk to - that their child “opened up faster than expected,” or that sessions feel surprisingly comfortable, even when the topics are hard. Kids tend to say I’m someone they don’t have to pretend with.
